Privacy Policy

🔒

Short version: FrameR processes your photos entirely on your device. We collect no personal data, have no analytics, and run no servers. Nothing leaves your phone or Mac.

Who we are

FrameR is developed by Florentin Erge. You can reach us at floerge@gmail.com.

What data we collect

None. FrameR does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

Photo access

FrameR requests access to your Photos library solely to function as a Photo Editing extension inside the Apple Photos app. This is required by the Photos framework — FrameR cannot add frames to a photo without reading its pixels.

All image processing happens locally on your device using Apple's Core Graphics framework. Rendered images are written back to your Photos library. No image data is ever sent to an external server.

How FrameR stores your edits

When you save a framed photo, FrameR stores a small JSON record of your chosen frame style inside the photo's metadata (using Apple's PHAdjustmentData API). This record lives entirely within your Photos library and travels with your photo during iCloud sync — it is never sent to any FrameR server because there are none.

Third-party services

FrameR uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporters. The only external network request the app makes is loading the Inter typeface from Google Fonts on this website — not inside the app itself.

Children's privacy

FrameR does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, there is nothing to delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Since FrameR collects no data, any future changes would only apply if data collection were introduced — which we have no plans to do.
